Brush Hour Book Illustrations

Piper Verlag, with its vibrant century-long history, embarked on a unique collaboration with Dr. Anne Heinz, a dentist and entrepreneur, presenting a fascinating challenge.
I was selected to draw a staggering 40+ illustrations for her new book BRUSH HOUR, one that delves into the intricacies of oral health—a topic sometimes considered hard to digest.

To make this journey more inviting, we decided to infuse the book with a familiar visual style. A nod to Dr. Anne's passion for all things Disney, this approach aimed to make the subject matter more accessible and engaging. All the illustrations were rendered using only black and magenta inks, which was an extra challenge but ultimately this limitation provided a frame for a more visually striking effect.
